Therapy Assistant Program

My Therapy Space

My Therapy Space acknowledges that families often require support to meet their goals and practice in the home environment or out in the community. Our Therapy Assistant program will support families to meet their therapy goals by working with their child in their natural environments of home, childcare or out in the community.  Our therapy assistants will work closely with the therapy team to work on each child’s therapeutic goals.

Benefits of a Therapy Assistant for Families

  • They can work within each client’s natural environments
  • More cost effective than a therapist
  • May have capacity to provide more hours than therapist
  • They can continue to work on goals if a client has a break from direct therapy
  • They can assist families to incorporate therapy strategies in your own environment
  • They can help integrate clients into their community
  • They will write notes and provide information to therapists as well as provide input into goal setting
